Pushing Apps to iOS/iPadOS Devices via Mosyle

Purpose
This article outlines the steps to deploy an App Store application to iOS/iPadOS devices using Mosyle MDM.
When to Use This
- A user requests a new app
- An app needs to be deployed organization-wide
- An app must be installed on a specific user’s device
Procedure
Step 1: Access App Management
- Log in to Mosyle
- Click on Management
- Select Manage iOS/iPadOS/watchOS
- Click Install App
Step 2: Create a New App Profile

Click Add New Profile
Enter the Profile Name

Use the exact name of the app (e.g., "Zoom", "RingCentral")
Set Installation Source to:
- App Store

Step 3: Select the App
- Click Click to add an app
- Search for the desired app in the App Store prompt
- Select the correct app
- Click the Checkmark to confirm selection
Step 4: Assign the App

Click Add Assignment
Choose one of the following:
- All Users (for organization-wide deployment)
- Specific User (for individual request)
Ensure correct assignment before saving.
Step 5: Save the Profile
- Click Save
The app will begin pushing to assigned devices automatically.
Verification
To confirm deployment:
- Check device status in Mosyle
- Confirm app appears on the user’s device
- Verify no installation errors
Notes & Best Practices
- Always confirm the correct app (developer name + icon).

For paid apps, ensure licensing is available before deployment.
If the app does not install:
- Confirm device is online
- Confirm device is properly enrolled
- Sync device from Mosyle
