Provisioning New iPad
BEFORE YOU START
Make sure you have:
- WiFi password
- Apple Business Manager (ABM) access
- Mosyle access
- Device serial number
🚨 Do NOT give the iPad to the user until ALL steps are complete.
STEP 1: CONFIRM DEVICE IS ASSIGNED (BEFORE TURNING ON)
1. Confirm in Apple Business Manager
- Log into Apple Business Manager
- Search for the iPad using the serial number
- Confirm it is assigned to Mosyle MDM
If it is NOT assigned:
- Assign it to Mosyle before proceeding
2. Confirm Device Appears in Mosyle
- Log into Mosyle
- Confirm the iPad appears in the device list
Do not continue until ABM and Mosyle assignment are confirmed.
STEP 2: TURN ON THE IPAD
- Open the box.
- Plug the iPad in.
- Power it on.
- Swipe up to begin.
- Select language.
- Select country/region.
STEP 3: CONNECT TO WIFI
- Select the correct WiFi network.
- Enter password.
- Confirm it connects successfully.
🚨 WiFi is required for automatic enrollment.
STEP 4: CONFIRM AUTOMATIC MDM ENROLLMENT
During setup, you should see:
“Remote Management”
This iPad will be automatically configured by Behavioral Framework.
If you DO NOT see the Remote Management screen:
- Stop immediately.
- Reset the iPad.
- Reconfirm assignment in Apple Business Manager.
Continue through setup:
- Follow on-screen prompts.
- Allow configuration to complete.
STEP 5: CONFIRM APPS INSTALL AUTOMATICALLY
Apps should begin installing automatically from Mosyle.
🚨 DO NOT MOVE FORWARD until:
- All required apps finish installing
- No apps are stuck loading
- No errors appear
If apps are not installing:
- Confirm WiFi connection
- Confirm device appears in Mosyle dashboard
- Restart the iPad if necessary
STEP 6: FINAL VERIFICATION
Before handing off, confirm:
- iPad is visible in Mosyle dashboard
- Required apps are installed
- WiFi works
- Device opens apps without errors
