Okta Email Verification is Blocked

If you run into an issue where the verification email from Okta is not being delivered follow these steps:


  1. Review email logs in Google to confirm email from Okta is not being delivered to the user
  2. If email sent from Okta is delivered to other users, but not the target user, the email is being blocked not by Google, but by Okta's anti-spam provider Postfix.
  3. Okta does not offer a friendly way of removing the user from Postfix and only allows you to remove them via API

  4. To avoid this issue, call the Okta support line https://support.okta.com/ and have the following information ready:
    1. Domain: bfprod.okta.com
    2. Company ID: 00o1oygpm9rNU0BPD1d8
    3. Customer Support Account ID: 1297975
    4. Reference this case for additional information: #02819266
  5. Generally the first person who answers the call can remove the user from the Blocked list
