Logitech Tap Conference Room - Troubleshooting

The Logitech Tap in conference rooms is connected to our Zoom Room system.

If a Zoom meeting is scheduled in that conference room (using the room as the meeting location), the Tap will automatically display the meeting on the screen at the scheduled time.

No need to manually enter a meeting ID.


How Scheduled Meetings Work

When you:

  1. Schedule a Zoom meeting in Outlook.
  2. Add the conference room as the meeting location.
  3. Include the Zoom meeting link in the invite.

The Logitech Tap will automatically:

  • Sync with the room calendar
  • Display the meeting on the screen
  • Show a Join button when the meeting time begins

To Join a Scheduled Meeting

  1. Walk into the room.
  2. Tap the meeting listed on the screen.
  3. Press Join.
  4. The meeting will connect automatically.

Starting a New (Unscheduled) Meeting

If the meeting was not scheduled using the conference room:

  1. Tap New Meeting on the Logitech Tap.
  2. Enter the Meeting ID (if required).
  3. Confirm audio and video settings.
  4. Start the meeting.

Screen Sharing Options

  1. Tap Screen Share on the Tap display.
  2. The screen will show a Sharing Key or room name.

    On your laptop:

    • Open Zoom.
    • Click Share Screen.
    • Select Zoom Room.
    • Enter the sharing key displayed on the Tap screen.

Your screen will display on the room monitors.


Alternative: Screen Mirroring

  1. Tap Screen Mirroring.
  2. Select the designated conference room display from your device.
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to connect.

HDMI Direct Share (If Available)

  1. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop.
  2. Tap Share if prompted.
  3. Your screen should display automatically.

Common Issues & Quick Fixes


The Meeting Is Not Showing on the Screen

  • Confirm the conference room was added as the meeting location.
  • Confirm the Zoom link is included in the calendar invite.
  • Check that the meeting time has started.
  • Try refreshing the Tap screen.

If still not visible, contact IT.


No Audio (Others Can’t Hear You)

  • Confirm microphone is not muted in Zoom.
  • Check selected microphone device.
  • Ensure table mic is properly connected.

You Can’t Hear Remote Participants

  • Increase volume using Tap controls.
  • Check TV volume.
  • Confirm correct speaker device is selected.

Screen Sharing Is Not Working

  • Ensure laptop is connected to the same WiFi network.
  • Restart Zoom on laptop.
  • Use HDMI as backup.

Camera Not Working

  • Check that the camera is not physically blocked.
  • Restart the system.
  • Contact IT if issue persists.

When to Contact IT

Please submit a ticket if:

  • The Tap screen is frozen.
  • The system will not power on.
  • The room calendar is not syncing.
  • Hardware appears damaged.
  • Repeated login errors occur.
