Logitech Keyboard & Mouse - Common Troubleshooting
This guide helps resolve common issues with Logitech keyboards and mice, including:
- Device not connecting
- Bluetooth pairing issues
- USB dongle (receiver) not working
- Intermittent lag or disconnecting
- Keyboard or mouse not responding
Step 1: Basic Quick Checks (Always Try First)
Before deeper troubleshooting:
- Make sure the device is turned ON
- Replace or recharge batteries
- Check power switch (usually on the bottom)
- Restart your computer
- Confirm device is not physically damaged

Bluetooth Connection Issues
Use this section if your device connects directly via Bluetooth (no USB receiver).
Device Not Showing in Bluetooth List
- Turn the keyboard/mouse OFF.
- Turn it back ON.

Press and hold the Easy-Switch / Pairing button (usually 3–5 seconds) until the LED blinks rapidly.
On your computer:
- Go to Bluetooth Settings
- Click Add Device
- Select the Logitech device when it appears
Device Was Working but Disconnected
- Open Bluetooth Settings.
- Select the Logitech device.
- Click Remove Device.
- Restart your computer.
- Re-pair the device using pairing mode.
Bluetooth Keeps Dropping or Lagging
- Move device closer to computer.
- Remove other nearby Bluetooth devices.
- Ensure WiFi router isn’t directly next to device (can cause interference).
- Check for Windows or macOS updates.

USB Dongle (Receiver) Connection Issues

Device Not Responding with USB Receiver
- Confirm USB receiver is firmly plugged in.
- Try a different USB port.

Receiver Not Recognized
- Plug receiver directly into laptop (not docking station).
- Try a different USB port.
- Check Device Manager (Windows) for USB errors.
- Restart computer.
If still not detected, receiver may be faulty.
Mouse or Keyboard Lag with USB Receiver
- Plug receiver into a front USB port (desktop) or side port (laptop).
- Keep receiver within 3 feet of device.
- Remove other wireless USB devices nearby.
- Replace batteries.
Multi-Device (Easy-Switch) Confusion
Many Logitech keyboards/mice have buttons labeled 1, 2, 3.
If device suddenly stops working:
- Press another Easy-Switch number.
- Return to the originally paired number.
- Ensure correct device channel is selected.
When to Replace Batteries
Low battery symptoms include:
- Delayed typing
- Cursor skipping
- Random disconnects
- Device reconnecting repeatedly
Replace batteries even if battery warning has not appeared.
