How to Find Your 1Password Secret Key

Your 1Password Secret Key is required when signing in to your account on a new device or browser. Follow the steps below to locate it.

Steps

Open the 1Password Application
- Make sure you open the desktop app, not the browser extension.
  
  Go to Your Profile
- Click on your profile name or icon in the top corner of the app.
  
  View Account Details
- Select “Manage Accounts” or “Account Settings” (wording may vary slightly).
  
  Locate Your Secret Key
- Find your account details.
- Your Secret Key will be listed there.
  
  Copy or Save Securely
- Copy the Secret Key if needed.
- Store it in a safe place (do not share it).

Your Secret Key is different from your password.
Never share your Secret Key with anyone.
If you cannot find it, you can also locate it in your Emergency Kit (if previously saved).
