| Important | Keep your MacBook plugged in and connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network during setup. Some apps and security settings may take several minutes to install after your first login. |
Before You Begin
路 Have your Behavioral Framework email address and temporary or current password ready.
路 Have your phone available for Okta Verify or any multi-factor authentication prompt.
路 Connect the MacBook to power before starting setup.
路 Use a stable internet connection. If you are at home, connect to your home Wi-Fi when prompted.
路 Allow 20-30 minutes for the first login and application installation process.
Logging in to Your New MacBook
1. Turn on the MacBook
Open the lid or press the power button. Keep the device plugged in while it starts. If the Mac asks you to choose a country, language, accessibility option, or Wi-Fi network before the sign-in screen appears, follow the on-screen prompts and connect to Wi-Fi.
2. Sign in with Google
When the Google sign-in page appears, enter your Behavioral Framework email address (firstname.lastname@behavioralframework.com). Click Next and continue through the Google prompt. Make sure you use your company email, not a personal or Gmail account.

3. Complete the Okta sign-in
After Google, you will be redirected to the Behavioral Framework Okta sign-in page. Enter your Behavioral Framework email as the username and then enter your account password. Approve any Okta Verify or multi-factor authentication prompt if requested.

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you install Okta Verify on your mobile device (personal or company-owned). This application is not connected to our company (therefore, your data remains private); however, it provides a simple MFA code that will allow you to easily approve FAST PASS prompts when you are required to reverify your identity. Once a week, or after any software updates, you will be required to re-authenticate to your device. Having Okta Verify on another device makes the process easier and much faster!
4. Allow the local Mac account to be created
After Okta authentication is complete, you will be redirected back to the Mac setup process. The Mac will create your local account automatically. This may take a few minutes. Do not restart or close the lid while this is running.
5. Finish any macOS setup prompts
If macOS asks about Location Services, Siri, Touch ID, appearance, analytics, or other preferences, follow the prompts using the default company-approved options when available. These settings can be adjusted later if needed.
6. Wait for required apps to install
Once you reach the desktop, leave the MacBook connected to power and Wi-Fi while the standard applications finish downloading. Some apps may appear immediately; others may take several minutes depending on network speed.
Required Application Checklist
After you sign in, confirm the following applications are installed. Open each one at least once so you can complete any first-time sign-in prompts before your first meeting or shift.
| Application | What to check | Notes |
| Google Chrome | Opens successfully and lets you sign in with your Behavioral Framework Google account. | Use Chrome for Google Workspace, Okta, and other web-based company tools. |
| RingCentral | Opens successfully and accepts your company sign-in. | Use for phone, messaging, and communication workflows as assigned. |
| Dropbox | Opens successfully and begins syncing after sign-in. | Allow time for folders to sync before opening large files. |
| Zoom | Opens successfully and lets you sign in. | Test audio, microphone, and camera before your first meeting. |
| Okta Verify | Installed and available for multi-factor authentication. | Keep notifications enabled so approval prompts appear on time. |
Recommended First-Day Checks
路 Open Chrome and confirm you can access your Behavioral Framework email and calendar.
路 Confirm Okta Verify is working by signing in to an Okta-protected application.
路 Open Zoom and run an audio/video test.
路 Open RingCentral and confirm you are signed in.
路 Open Dropbox and verify that expected folders are visible or syncing.
路 Check that the date, time, and time zone are correct.
路 Restart the MacBook once after setup is complete, if requested by a verified IT resource, or if applications do not appear after about 20 minutes.
Troubleshooting Tips
| Issue | What to try |
| Google or Okta page does not load | Confirm Wi-Fi is connected, move closer to your router if needed, and try again. If the page still does not load, restart the MacBook and reconnect to Wi-Fi. |
| Password is not accepted | Re-enter your Behavioral Framework email and password carefully. Check for accidental spaces or Caps Lock. Contact IT Support if you need a password reset. |
| Okta Verify prompt does not appear | Open Okta Verify on your phone, confirm notifications are enabled, and try signing in again. If you changed phones or do not have Okta Verify set up, contact IT Support. |
| Required apps are missing | Wait 10-15 minutes while the MacBook remains powered on and connected to Wi-Fi. If an app still does not appear, contact IT Support. |
When Setup Is Complete
You are ready to begin once you can sign in to the MacBook, open Chrome, access your Behavioral Framework email, and confirm that the required applications are installed. If anything does not look right, contact IT Support before your first scheduled meeting or shift.
